Amendments in the West Bengal Registration Rules, 1962

No.02-IGR, Dated 1st July, 2016-In workout of the energy conferred through sub-section (1) of area sixty-nine of the Registration Act, 1908 (16 of 1908) and after acquiring approval of the State Government, the Inspector General of Registration and Commissioner of Stamp Revenue, West Bengal, is thrilled hereby to make, with instantaneous effect, the following amendments in the West Bengal Registration Rules, I 962, posted with the Judicial Department notification No. 541-Regn, dated the twenty-sixth April 1963, as because of this amended (hereinafter referred to as the stated rules):-

Amendment

In the stated rules-

(1) in Chapter VIII, in rule 45, –

(a) in sub-rule (1), for the words, letters, figures and brackets “by Serialized Authenticated Bank Receipt (SABR) or in case of stamp obligation exceeding Rs. 5000/- (rupees 5 thousand) and Registration fees, via digital charge mode i.e., via on-line”, replacement the words, letters, figures and brackets “by Serialized Authenticated Bank Receipt (SABR) or in case of stamp responsibility exceeding Rs. 5000/- (rupees 5 thousand) and Registration fees, through digital fee mode”;

(b) after sub-rule (1), insert the following sub-rule: –

“(IA) Registration prices of any quantity exceeding Rs. 5000 (rupees 5 thousand), shall compulsorily be paid by using digital price mode.”;

(2) in Chapter XVIII, in rule 118, in sub-rule (3), for the 0.33 proviso, alternative the following proviso:­

“Provided additionally that the expenses acquired underneath rule forty-five in digital fee mode shall be remitted at once into the Government Receipt Portal System {GRIPS).”.
